Project information for businesses and organisations

Sprout

A gardening club with a difference for families with children and young people with additional needs. Sprout sessions are fortnightly at Cliffe House in Shepley, and Northorpe Hall in Mirfield. Activities focus on whole family involvement with cooking, growing, den making, crafts and non competitive sports. We aim to provide respite for these families, who are often isolated, tired and stressed, in a non traditional way through staff working alongside them.

Bud

Weekly gardening sessions for adults are held at Wooldale Allotment in the Holme Valley. Bud sessions help people, with long term health conditions, mental and phsyical health concerns or learning disabilities, to benefit from being active outdoors, learn about growing and gardening, and enjoy social time with other people who have similar difficulties.

Pod

Our “potting shed on wheels” is taken to community events in and around Kirklees, and also to local businesses and organisations to enable staff to benefit from healthy outdoors activities, growing and cooking in their lunch breaks. The pod attracts and encourages people of all ages to join in our fun outdoor craft and growing activities and find new ways to improve their physical and mental health.
