Sprout volunteer
Support families with SEND children at our popular Saturday sessions. Help participants feel welcome, assist with activities, and be part of a warm, inclusive team. Based at Wakefield Road allotments and Oakwell Hall (HAF sessions).

Bud-dy volunteer
Make a real difference in someone’s day—become a Bud-dy volunteer at Growing Works.
Work alongside participants with additional needs, offering one-to-one encouragement, gentle guidance, and a friendly, reassuring presence. Whether it’s helping someone build confidence, develop new skills, or simply feel comfortable in our allotment, you will ensure that every person is able to engage at their own pace and in their own way.

Social Seed Sower (social media support) Volunteer
Are you passionate about social media and helping great ideas grow?
As a Social Seed Sower, you’ll support our online presence by creating, sharing, and engaging content across our social media channels. Your role will help us reach new audiences, amplify participant voices, and spread the word about the work we do.
From planting fresh ideas to nurturing engagement, you’ll play a key part in helping our community flourish online.

Looking for a meaningful team day out? We welcome corporate volunteering groups who want to give back to the community and get hands-on at our outdoor sites.
Team volunteering days
Bring your team for a hands-on day at our Wakefield Road site — helping with gardening, site development, and outdoor projects. We’re proud to work with organisations like Cummins Turbo Technologies, whose staff have made a real lasting difference to our spaces.
