A community charity nurturing healthy lives outdoors.
About Growing Works
Growing Works is a community charity based in Huddersfield, Kirklees, dedicated to nurturing healthy lives, outdoors. Since 2015, we have been creating inclusive outdoor spaces where people of all ages can improve their wellbeing, build confidence, develop new skills, and feel part of something positive.
We believe that spending time outdoors, connecting with others, and taking part in meaningful activities can have a lasting impact on people’s lives. Whether someone joins us to improve their mental health, reduce isolation, gain experience, or simply enjoy being outside, we aim to provide a warm and welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
Our work is rooted in the belief that nature can nurture. Through therapeutic gardening, outdoor learning, wellbeing activities, and community-based projects, we create opportunities for people to connect with the natural world and with each other. We work with children, young people, adults, families, and professionals, offering activities that are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the needs of our local community.
Our Vision
At Growing Works we aspire to create a Kirklees where everyone can grow, heal, and thrive through connection with food, nature, and community.
