Therapeutic gardening sessions for adults that help people to benefit from being active outdoors, learning to grow, being creative and socialising.

  • Tuesdays 10am – 12.30pm at Wakefield Road Allotments, Dalton. Bus 372 from stop K1 in Lord Street to Wakefield Road/Dalton Green Lane.  Click for MAP

Returning in the Spring…

  • Thursdays 10am – 12.30pm at Almondbury Community Allotment near the Old Sure Start Centre, Off Farfield Road. Bus 372 from K1 in Lord Street to Southfield Road.
  • Fridays 10am – 12.30pm  at Dalton Community Allotment, behind Dalton and Rawthorpe Library, 23-25 Ridgeway. Bus 371 from K2 Lord Street to Dalton Ridgeway.

Sprout

Strong Parents Reaching Out – outdoor activities for families with children and young people with additional needs. It’s Fun together for the whole family, Relax & share information, Make friends, Face challenges together. You don’t need any diagnosis, if you feel your family would benefit then come along to our sessions. Sprout sessions are held at Crow Nest Park in Dewsbury. £5 per family, first visit free, waived if it is a barrier.

 

Join us at Crow Nest Park on Saturdays from 11am – 1pm

Young Shoots

From June 2018 we will be running sessions for young people aged 13-19 themed around bushcraft, cooking, and exploration.  The aim of the sessions will be to build independence and confidence, developing life skills and team working.

Events

Growing Works runs quarterly events at our therapeutic centre at Wakefield Road, Dalton bringing people together connected by the outdoor environment, food and fire. Nature activities for all ages. We are also keen for different organisations to get involved and  use the facilities at the site, contact us for more details.
