Strong Parents Reaching Out – outdoor activities for families of children and young people with additional needs. It’s Fun together for the whole family. Relax & share information, Make friends, Face challenges together. You don’t need any diagnosis, if you feel your family would benefit then come along to our sessions. Sprout sessions are held at Crow Nest Park in Dewsbury. £5 per family, first visit free, waived if it is a barrier.

We run sessions for young people aged 13-19 themed around bushcraft, cooking, and exploration. The aim of the sessions is to build independence and confidence, developing life skills and team working.

People are welcome to call in and enjoy these spaces for exercise and relaxation at any time. We also run gardening sessions during the growing season (March to October) which help maintain them for the community. Growing Works runs quarterly events at our therapeutic centre at Wakefield Road, Dalton bringing people together connected by the outdoor environment, food and fire. Nature activities for all ages. We are also keen for different organisations to get involved and use the facilities at the site, contact us for more details.
